[London, UK– Oct 24th 2025] – Pathfinder Medical, a pioneer in minimally invasive vascular access technologies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lorenzo Patrone as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Dr. Patrone, a dual-qualified Italian-British interventional radiologist, has been collaborating with Pathfinder as Lead Clinical Consultant since April 2019. He has played a pivotal role in the development and clinical validation of the company’s ePATH catheter technology, which enables precise, minimally invasive vascular connections.
During his tenure as lead clinical consultant, Dr. Patrone performed the first clinical cases using Pathfinder’s CE-marked first-generation ePATH device to treat lower limb chronic total occlusions (CTOs) published in the EuropeanJournal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Forum (doi:10.1016/j.ejvsvf.2021.04.002). He also led pre-clinical work for endovascular arteriovenous fistula (endoAVF) creation, including the GLP in-vivo study, and will now serve as an investigator in our upcoming first-in-human study for wrist-level endoAVF creation.

Dr. Patrone brings over a decade of international experience as a Consultant Vascular andInterventional Radiologist, with clinical positions in both the UK and Italy, working in hybrid Vascular Departments such as the West London Vascular andInterventional Centre, and Azienda USL Toscana Centro (Firenze). He has served as Assistant Editor for the Journal of Endovascular Therapy, and holds teaching roles within multiple professional societies including CIRSE, and ESVS.
He has published extensively on innovative re-vascularization techniques, is a recipient of numerous clinical excellence awards, and serves as Founder andCourse Director of several international educational initiatives such as Vascupedia VIEWS and FYA Congress, reflecting his commitment to global vascular education and innovation.
